Why should you need a keyword research tool when you know what the market is demanding? Imagine you've alerady made your marketing plan for a very well designed website about self-contained diving equipment.
Nobody visits your site. Why? Because they were searching for Aqualung or Scuba equipment. You might even make your site about Aqualung and miss out on all the American market because you didn't mention Scuba equipment. This step is all about how to do keyword research.
That's where you need a keyword suggestion tool. You don't just want one keyword. You want a different keyword for each page, and you want to know more about the attitudes of people using those keywords. A good idea is to gather ten thousand keywords, sort them into groups, then choose which groups to use in your site.
Why not use the entire collection? Well it's unlikely that you can be the world's greatest expert on everything about cameras for instance. So you specialize in a small field (niche) and possibly branch out later.
Continuing our research with keyword marketing
This used to be all a matter of keyword density. You just spammed the search engines with the same keyword repeated over and over again. Google got tired of that and invented Latent Semantic Indexing. Their computers simply worked out which words should appear in the same article. If these words don't appear, then the article isn't about that subject.
Here are some of the places that you should use keywords
The aim of this step in your business market research is to collect as many top search keywords as you can, then delete the ones that are not relevant, or unprofitable, then organize the rest into a useful order. We will do this by creating a list with one tool, then submitting the whole list to another tool to get more keywords, and so on.
If you are thinking about buying a camera and see one slung across a friend's shoulder, do you say
Of course you wouldn't talk like the first example! It just isn't natural. In the second example the phrase Digital Camera isn't used even once. But remember that Google is the one using latent semantic indexing, and you should use your best keywords once or twice for the sake of other search engines.
Google would detect the words in italics and decide that the theme was digital cameras.
So what should you do when you are writing your article? Write naturally, then go through each article and make sure that you include five or ten keywords that your keyword research tells you should go together. Also you should have your chosen keyword in the article title, first paragraph, and last paragraph.
Also have your best keyword for subdirectory titles. For instance, this sub-directory is called planwebsitedesign, because the theme is website design.
Keyword Research Video
This is a long video because keyword marketing is a big subject, and each tool has something different to offer. My software wouldn't allow me to put it all in one video so I've had to split it into two sections. You can see each step as if you were looking over my shoulder, and if you want to make Internet money you shouldn't neglect this important step.
I'm offering a free course of over twenty videos (I haven't made them all yet so I don't know the exact number) that allow you to "look over my shoulder" as I work through each step of making your own website. So click here to sign up for my course now (it's free) so that you can see the long videos as soon as I have them ready for you. I'm assuming that you already have a program to unzip the files. You can probably find a freeware unzipper at tucows.com if you don't have one already.
I can't give you an extract video this time because the theme is too complicated. Here are the headings you will find in the two videos.
First Keyword Suggestion Tool Video
Second Business Keywords Market Research Video
Each keyword research tool offers you something different. Next you might like to check out other articles in the right column, or go on to the website software editor section.
